CzechFest

CZECHFEST

SAVE THE DATE

Sunday, October 7, 2018

The next meeting will be held Monday, September 17, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. in the I. C. Hall. All parishioners are encouraged to attend for a successful fundraiser. All parishioners will be asked to sign up to help with Czechfest soon. Some things to consider now are: Is my food handlers card up-to-date? What shall I make for the Country Store? What shall I donate to the Auction? You may bring items to the parish office at any time. Early planning is the key to a successful event. Please call Sidney or Gary if you have any questions or need information. Sidney Faas 361-387-0797 or Gary Clarke 361-947-3566.

CZECHFEST RAFFLE

There will be a raffle with many prizes this year at Czechfest. The raffle books are available for sale at the parish office and in the vestibule of the church. A 10% rebate will be given for selling books. Please contact the office.

LIVE AND SILENT AUCTION

Each family is asked to donate at least one new item to the auction valued at $25.00 or more.  You may donate this item yourself or you may take an “Auction” letter to your favorite place of business and request a donation.  Auction items may be brought to the parish office Monday through Friday during business hours and/or before or after the weekend Masses

CAKE WALK

Each family is asked to donate cakes, brownies, cookies, or cupcakes for the Cake Walk.  Baked goods can also be brought to the country store.  Bring cakes to the parish office on Saturday or Sunday, October 6-7

FOOD HANDLER’S CARD

A food handler’s card is required for all those who work around food.  Whether you are working in the BBQ kitchen or the I.C. Hall kitchen, or at the snack bar, anywhere there is the preparation and serving of food, it is important to have an up-to-date food handler’s permit. A food handler’s class will be offered at our parish if enough people request the class.  Please sign up to attend in the foyer of the church or call the parish office.

COUNTRY STORE

Each family is asked to bring items for the country store. Home crafted items, baked goods, or new items with suggested value of $15.00 are needed. Country Store items  may be brought to the parish office Monday through Friday during business hours and/or before or after the weekend Masses.

SIGN-UP SHEETS

Please sign-up to volunteer at your favorite activity.  Sign-up sheets will be available in the foyer of the church soon.  Adults and teens are needed to help.
