High School Religious Ed

"The most effective catechetical program for adolescents are integrated into a comprehensive program of pastoral ministry for youth that includes catechesis, community life, evangelization, justice and service, leadership development, pastoral care, and prayer and worship. Such programs aim to empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today; to draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community; and to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person."
(National Directory for Catechesis, p. 201)

High School students will participate in weekly sessions enhancing their knowledge of their Catholic faith and putting that faith into action in their life and the lives of those around them.  Confirmation Prep I and II classes will utilize the Decision Point program published by Dynamic Catholic.  Parents and students can download the app on their phones and follow along with weekly sessions.  They will also experience an intense bible study to help them support their Catholic faith in their daily walk.   In addition to these sessions, High School students will participate in the Life Teen program including sharing meals and games together, service projects for our church, guest speakers from our parish community, and small group faith sharing.

Each and every weekly session will end with adoration in the Church.  Parents are encouraged  to join the youth for adoration and spend some precious time with their child and Jesus!!!
